Over the Age of 3 In-Home and Center-Based Applied Behavior Analysis Services

Beacon is in the process of expanding its Center-Based services to multiple regions in the Commonwealth and expects to open multiple new locations in early 2024! Center-Based ABA services offer the same high-quality one-to-one ABA treatment in a more structured setting, enabling Beacon to offer unique treatment benefits, such as increased exposure to supported peer interactions and ongoing clinical oversight of cases. Center-Based treatment utilizes the same team approach to interventions including promoting the development of age-appropriate social interactions, communication skills, play skills, functional routines, and the reduction of behaviors that interfere with daily life. Each child enrolled in the center will have their own treatment team consisting of Behavior Therapists and Associate Behavior Therapists, with ongoing case supervision provided by a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABAs).

Beacon also offers children the opportunity to further develop social skills by working in small group treatments and providing children access to social skills groups and curricula.

Family involvement in treatment remains central to Beacon’s treatment philosophy and Center-Based staff will continue to work closely with families to implement each child’s specific behavior programs across environments. All clients receiving Center-Based treatment will also be seen by Beacon paraprofessionals in their homes to allow opportunities for generalization of skills and coordination of care. Parent training is also provided by a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) in the home or at the center visit.  Given the unique needs of each client, the intensity and location of service delivery will vary based on clinical need and best practice recommendations.
